When the team at Vibrant Influencer Network asked me to participate in their Healthy Choice Campaign, I quickly obliged. While I mostly cook from scratch (or go out to eat or get dessert with my boyfriend L), I do occasionally like the convenience of a quick meal or snack, especially with my busy semi-retired, life after 50 schedule. During the next few weeks, I’ll be providing my perspective and preferences on some of the new Healthy Choice frozen products and hope you will want to try them too. As these products are considered to be “healthy,” I invited my friend L, who is a registered dietitian, to join me in the tastings.
First up is new Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt. It comes in a variety of flavors – Vanilla Bean, Dark Fudge Swirl, Honey Swirl, Blueberry Raspberry and Strawberry – and you can find it in the frozen foods section of your grocer nearby the frozen dinners – not in the ice cream case. Greek yogurt is very popular these days because of its high protein content. L and I tried Dark Fudge Swirl and Vanilla Bean.
We tasted. We tested. We read the packaging. What did we think?
Yum, yum, yum. We both liked both flavors. “Creamy and sweet, not too tart, nice body,” said L as she tried a cup of the Vanilla Bean.” “Ooh, ooh, ooh, it’s like a little sundae, although a little tarter than than the Vanilla Bean,” I added as I tasted a cup of the Dark Fudge Swirl and continued to devour the entire 100 calories.
We both liked the product’s nutritional profile with 2 grams of fat and 4 grams of protein per 100 calorie serving. The portions are satisfying and there are three snack cups inside each box – so you can treat yourself to a treat for three days – or invite your boomer girlfriends over and have a dessert party. L and I were nice and shared a snack cup with my millennial daughter A, who said she liked the frozen snack and better yet, A said she would definitely put this product on her grocery “to buy” list.
Would you like to try Healthy Choice Greek Frozen Yogurt? Here’s a coupon to print out the next time you go to the grocery store. LMK what variety you tried and if you liked it. According to the cute packaging graphics, “Legend has it that chocolate was the prize awarded to honor great speed by Hermes, Greek God of Sport. One taste of dark fudge swirl, and you’ll be running back for more!”
Happy snacking.

Disclosure: I am participating in a Vibrant Influencer Network Healthy Choice campaign. I have been provided with free products and remuneration in exchange for my honest opinions about the products. All opinions are my own and were not influenced, nor reviewed, by Healthy Choice prior to posting.
Yum! This looks delicious. I was not aware of it, but now I am. I think I’ll give it a try.
Thanks for the post, Judi.
Cathy, thanks for your note. Glad you are going to try. These frozen desserts are low calorie, yet satisfying.
Judi,
Sounds delicious! Just wanted to add – because I don’t think most people are aware – that there are strict government regulations in regard to using the word “healthy” on product packaging. In full disclosure, many years ago I worked for the food company that produces Healthy Choice products (the reason I am aware). Hmm… has the potential for a good consumer communications program! 🙂
Yes, R you are absolutely correct. There is a difference between calling a product ‘healthy’ and ‘nutritious.’ That’s one of the reasons I wanted to get my friend L involved in these taste tests since she is a registered dietitian.
