When life gets you down…it’s a good time to take shape…and that is exactly what I did yesterday…I shaped up my eyebrows…thanks to Donna (my enestician) that is…she actually did the shaping…I did the asking…and I also had my monthly facial…that’s another great thing to do when life gets you down…not only did Donna shape up my overgrown eyebrows…but she also gave me a super-duper facial…with a special collagen mask (she said it was a special mask for my birthday…even though it was February…she hadn’t had a chance to wish me a happy 50th birthday…how nice Donna is to give me a super-duper facial treatment for my 50th year).

So…my face is all shaped up…yes…the collagen mask was really super-duper (I highly recommend it…it is supposed to tighten one’s face to help wrinkles disappear)…and my eyebrows…my new eyebrows give me that extra lift too..that extra lift that I need in my life right now…I don’t need heavy eyebrows weighing me down…no…not me…take that extra hair off my face…and maybe I will also get my eyebrows lightened the next time I color my hair…Donna says that will enhance them even more.

To continue to lift my spirits…I decided my kitchen could use a little shaping up …so I went to my favorite housewares’ store…the housewares’ store where I can always find a little something to shape up my kitchen…or bath…or living room…and that’s exactly what I did…I went to HomeGoods…and I bought a new bright green tea kettle (a whistling one so I can boil my water for my orange tea…the decaf Lipton Herbal tea that helps me de-stress after a hard day at work)…and I bought a festive spoon rest (couldn’t resist the colorful spoonrest in the shape of vegetables…a tomato and green pepper to be exact).

My down day ended on an up note…yes it did…as I ate my leftover chicken and pasta for dinner (I shaped up that leftover chicken and pasta with some sundried tomatoes…and calamata olives…the combo added nice flavors and red and black colors to my stark white pasta)…I poured a glass of Pino Grigio…and I was all set…smiles were on my face again.

But the best part…the best part of the day was when I ate a piece of my 50th birthday cake…I took an extra special piece from the freezer…it had a big plump strawberry on top…delicious…divine…delightful…I even scraped the whipped cream off the plate…not a crumb was left…nope not a crumb.

Shaped up eyebrows…a collagen mask…a new green tea kettle…great pasta…and a fabulous piece of strawberry and banana whipped cream cake…it’s not such a bad day after all.

How do you take shape when life gets you down…share a comment…let me know.
