When life gets you down it’s a good time to take shape. That’s exactly what I did yesterday. I shaped up my eyebrows — thanks to my esthetician D. She did the shaping. I also had my monthly facial. That’s another great thing to do when life gets you down. Not only did D shape up my overgrown eyebrows., she gave me a super-duper facial with a special collagen mask.
A facial and eyebrow wax to shape up my face
The collagen mask tightened my face to help wrinkles disappear. My new eyebrows gave me the extra lift that I need in my life right now. I don’t need heavy eyebrows weighing me down.
Sprucing up my kitchen
To continue to lift my spirits I decided my kitchen could use a little shaping up. I went to my favorite housewares’ store HomeGoods. I bought a bright green tea kettle so I can boil my water for my chamomile tea that helps me de-stress after a hard day at work and a festive spoon rest (couldn’t resist the colorful spoon rest in the shape of vegetables).
A down day ends on a high note
I shaped up my leftover chicken and pasta dinner with some sundried tomatoes and calamata olives. The combo added nice flavors and red and black colors to my stark white pasta. I poured a glass of Pino Grigio and smiles were on my face again.
Having a piece of cake from my 50th birthday made my day
The best part of the day was when I ate a piece of my 50th birthday cake. I took an extra special piece from the freezer. It had a big plump strawberry on top. Delicious, divine, delightful. I even scraped the whipped cream off the plate — not a crumb was left.
Shaped up eyebrows, a collagen mask, a new tea kettle, delicious pasta and a fabulous piece of strawberry and banana whipped cream cake. It’s not such a bad day after all.
